Lisbon Airport Guide: Luggage, Meeting Points & Reliable Transfers

Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado, code LIS) sits surprisingly close to the city — just 7 km from the center. Here's what families and first-time visitors should know.
Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2
Almost every arriving flight lands at Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is departures-only for some low-cost carriers, so as an arriving passenger you'll always exit through T1.
After you land · the timeline
- Passport control — 10–30 min depending on the hour (faster for EU citizens).
- Baggage claim — usually 15–25 min after landing.
- Arrivals hall (Gate 5–6) — where private drivers wait with a name sign.
Where to meet your driver
The official Meeting Point is at Gate 5 in the arrivals hall — a large pillar marked "Meeting Point" in green. Your AgurDriver will be standing there with a sign showing your name, ready to help with your luggage.
Luggage tips
- A Standard car comfortably fits 4 passengers + 4 large suitcases.
- Travelling with a stroller or surfboards? Let us know — we'll send the right vehicle.
- Lost luggage? The Lost & Found counter is in baggage claim, near belt 2.
Taxi vs ride-app vs private transfer
Taxis from the queue use a meter and may add extras for luggage. Ride-apps require walking to a separate pickup area and surge during peak hours. A private transfer means a fixed price agreed in advance, your driver waiting inside, and no language barrier — the safest option for families and first-time visitors.
Tarifa acordada à reserva — portagens incluídas, sem surpresas no fim.
Bagageira ampla para malas grandes e equipamento de viagem.
Cadeirinhas para bebé e elevatórias sem custo adicional para famílias.
