Fátima & Nazaré Tour: Culture and Big Waves from Lisbon

Two of Portugal's most powerful experiences in one comfortable day — the spiritual stillness of Fátima in the morning and the raw Atlantic of Nazaré in the afternoon.

Morning · Fátima (09:30 – 12:00)

We leave Lisbon at 08:00 to arrive before the tour-bus rush. Time at the Sanctuary of Fátima, the Chapel of the Apparitions, and the basilicas. Calm enough for reflection, even if you're not religious.

Lunch · Batalha or Alcobaça (12:30 – 14:00)

A short detour to Batalha Monastery (UNESCO Gothic masterpiece) and a relaxed lunch at a regional restaurant — try the local frango da Guia or fresh fish.

Afternoon · Nazaré (14:30 – 18:00)

Up to Sítio by the funicular for the legendary viewpoint above Praia do Norte — the spot where surfers ride 20+ metre waves in winter. Walk the cliffs, visit the lighthouse-museum, then down to the old fishermen's beach for the famous Nazaré sunset.

Optional stop · Óbidos (on the way back)

If energy allows, we can stop in the walled village of Óbidos for a glass of ginjinha served in a chocolate cup. Adds ~45 minutes.
